Magna Park, Milton Keynes, UK

The name John Lewis is synonymous with quality in the retail sector, and therefore it is only to be expected that the company applies the same stringent, ethical standards to their built environments as they do other aspects of their business.

Air Quality Plan was commissioned by Simons Construction to fulfill indoor air quality recommendations during the development of a major new distribution centre (in excess of 650,000 sq. ft) for the John Lewis Partnership in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. Working alongside the developers, our assessors prepared a detailed Indoor Air Quality Plan along with recommendations, and completed post construction testing and assessment prior to occupancy.

The John Lewis Partnership is committed to responsible development and growing its estate sustainably. In the summer of 2014 the newly opened John Lewis in York became the only department store in the world to receive a BREEAM ‘outstanding’ rating.
